Slightly off-topic: I was curious about Lua, took another look just now, and remembered why I immediately bounced off of it the previous time I looked. In Lua, array indexing is one-based, which in my book is a absolute showstopper for a computer language. IMO, the question of whether arrays should be zero- or one-based has a clear answer and was settled decades ago. Here's a link for those who might be interested in the controversy (note particularly the link to a Dijkstra essay on the subject): http://lua-users.org/wiki/CountingFromOne Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
