Yes, me. Well, actually it is the Debian Multimedia Team [1], but right now 
I'm the only one working on it.

Because the previous maintainer was very busy and could not work on csound to 
prepare a package on time. 

However, I think I won't have a package ready until the next csound release 
(5.07), since csound 5 is far more difficult (packaging-wise) than csound 4, 
so I'm still having some trouble. Some issues that prevented a correct debian 
packaging should be fixed by the new release (as we discussed on previous 
emails).

Mmmh, checking csound cvs suggests that these changes haven't been made yet. 
What I really _need_ for a debian package is that libcsnd.so have a versioned 
SONAME. Should I prepare a patch for it using the same soname as csound?
