Hi Istvan, Thanks for the reply. No rush as I can appreciate the work that it would require. I can always do the device listing code by doing "cat /proc/asound/cards" or something along those lines for each driver, but that would only solve my own situation, and I think it would be useful for users using via commandline to have this capability as well to see what options are available.
