I was thinking of the examples folder in CVS, but now that I'm looking through I see it's more of a developer's example set rather than pure Csound example set. Having a developers example set would probably be a good thing; are the examples from the manual included? That seems necessary for the manuals, and perhaps that would be good enough for users to get into Csounding. I'd also like to see Dr. Boulanger's TOOTS back in the manual and his examples included with the Csound release as I think they're the best place to start for new users. I'm thinking of the use case of completely new user downloading the package, unzipping, looking for a README, then finding that their is both a tutorial and a very comprehensive user manual and some examples to look through. (I've CC'd Dr. Boulanger on this email). Dr. B: Would you be interested in having your TOOTS as part of the manual? And any objections to it from anyone else? I'd be more than happy to format them and place them in the manual. steven On 12/20/05, jpff@codemist.co.uk wrote: > I think that double and float are separate packages in the release. > In effect there are 8 versions -- > (float,double)x(linux,windows,osx,linux64) > At present no examples in the package -- what did you have in mind? > ==John ffitch > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
