Updating from CVS, I just noticed this in frontends/winsound/main.cxx: /* Copyright 2006 John ffitch -- ALL RIGHTS RESERVED This code is NOT released under LGPL or any similar licence */ If I understand correctly, this, in its current form, is in effect a proprietary license, with all restrictions that are made possible by copyright law (i.e. the usual not allowed to copy or distribute, at most one copy can be made for backup purposes, etc.). While it might have been done to exclude other developers from fiddling with the code - which is an understandable, even if not agreeable point, but I am just guessing - I would like to note that the SourceForge conditions for hosting only allow approved open source licenses. So, the license either needs to be changed, or the code removed from CVS and developed privately as a separate frontend. But hope that I am wrong about the above. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
