Thanks; yes, they are 32-bit floats, but they are
spectral data. I expect the data to work with both
doubles and floats, but I will ask Brian to re-check it.
No need to do byte-swapping as the data is floating
point (AFAIK byte ordering is an integer-only issue).
The man page is there, you can see, there is a good
example in it.
