Category: csound Group: csound5 >Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Todd Fiske (tfiske) Assigned to: John ffitch (jpff) Summary: several images in the 5.13 manual are corrupt Initial Comment: the following images all have Carriage Returns added to Line Feeds 600px-Chua's_circuit.svg.png delayk.png engine.png gen16_types.png linen.jpg noise-filter.png Poisson_distribution_PMF.png poisson_equation.png toot07.gif toot08.gif toot09.gif transeg.png virtualkeyboard.png I've attached a small Python script that fixes all of these files. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Todd Fiske (tfiske) Date: 2011-07-06 13:52 Message: Fair enough - is there a better place to report it? Who produces the Windows installer? I could just let them know directly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John ffitch (jpff) Date: 2011-07-06 13:01 Message: I am closing this bug as it seems to be a packaging error and not in the sources ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Todd Fiske (tfiske) Date: 2011-06-21 11:04 Message: I looked at some of the other documentation packages and those images are okay, for example the file /csound5/csound5.13/manual/Csound5.13_manual_html.zip contains working versions of these images. The Windows distribution file (Csound5.13.1-gnu-win32-d.exe) still contains the corrupted images. It seems likely that these files got mistakenly included when someone was running an EOL conversion when putting together the Windows package. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John ffitch (jpff) Date: 2011-06-17 12:55 Message: Have these been fixed? I am not seeing any problems ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Todd Fiske (tfiske) Date: 2011-06-07 15:50 Message: steps to reproduce: download latest Windows version: Csound5.13.1-gnu-win32-d.exe perform normal installation (I installed to c:\Csound) go to C:\Csound\doc\manual\images folder open delayk.png On Windows 7, the default program is Microsoft Photo Viewer - instead of showing the delay diagram, an error message will be shown: "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or too large." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=564599&aid=3313366&group_id=81968 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All of the data generated in your IT infrastructure is seriously valuable. Why? It contains a definitive record of application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more. Splunk takes this data and makes sense of it. IT sense. And common sense. http://p.sf.net/sfu/splunk-d2d-c2 _______________________________________________ Csound-devel mailing list Csound-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
