Are you sure about -n ? It does work for me. Perhaps there is a Mac specific issue (compiler bug, etc.) ? Or you specify a file name with -o after the -n, and then the -o overrides -n (it is the last option that has the highest precedence) ? You may be right about the -I option still writing a sound file, though, so I will fix that.
