This is because a Debian source package consists of: the original tarball, a diff which contains all debian-related work, and a third file (the .dsc) describing the other 2 files (names and cehcksums) plus some extra info. The idea is to separate distro-specific issues from upstream development. With that in mind, I have no packages ready[1] (I have been working with 5.06, not CVS), but that should not hold the release of 5.07. [1] Actually, I do have packages that build and install correctly, but they don't still comply with Debian Policy, which is why I haven't publicized them yet. -- Felipe Sateler
