I think the main mistake I made was to contribute any code, even a
single line, to the so called "canonical" version. It would be nowhere
without my work, and still John ffitch gets all the credit, despite
doing little and even that poorly.
Anyway, I will not make the mistake again, and will never join
development of the ffitch version, nor help it in any way.
