Hi Victor, Have you tried using sr=48000 ? I'm not sure what sound card you are using on Linux, but I've noticed that a lot of soundcards use 48000 natively. Also, I'd really try to find a way to use -+rtaudio=alsa -o dac:hw:0,0 and finding a buffer setting that works, or if possible with portaudio, look for something besides /dev/dsp as all the latest alsa stuff defaults to dmix (software mixing) which affects performance and sound quality (at least, I believe that is the case). steven On 1/13/06, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > In fact, with regards to that orc, OSX 10.4 machines (comparable spec) > run it OK as well.
