Hi All, I tried with KDE and found gam_server gets reopened even if you kill it. I noticed though that rendering while in kde or in gnome, even though gam_server is running on both, it doesn't seem to do much in kde as in gnome, and that the tests varied very little in render times. However, I tried again on WinXP to render and got a fast render time but then realized that there was a segfault somewhere; csound still returned and reported a timing though which through me off. Csound is rendering about 2:30 out of 7:17 of the CSD before dying. So in the end, that test was inconclusive. I'll have to try another file out later this week to test the render times. steven On 11/20/05, Iain Duncan wrote: > > jpff@codemist.co.uk wrote: > > How about not running Gnome? > > ==John ffitch > > I'm running fluxbox and have been really happy with it for csound.
