Hi John, I haven't tried to see if one could just parse an instrument but I don't imagine why not as it's all encapsulated or at least is trying to be setup as functions withr no side-effects and only returns (well, a symbol table gets created, but that can be kept around; it needs to be redone as it is anyways). That might cause a problem if a UDO is redefined, but am far away from there yet. If so, the the parser returns a TREE *.
