Some musings: I imagine this will present similar issues as the PPC-to-Intel transition for those using closed source binary software, but the open source community should be fine.  I imagine we're in good shape as we regularly compile Csound for Arm processors already (iOS, Android, various Linux platforms) and know it works. I haven't followed up but I imagine we'll have to go back to doing fat binaries for macOS to support existing Macs for a number of years. It'll be interesting to see if Windows on Arm will finally catch on as well as more Linux ARM machines becoming popular. Also, good thing we have webassembly Csound going as it runs cross-architecture. :)

The big PITA is the long list of dependencies we have. They're bound to give us some headaches.
