but no, i won't develop it further! counterpoint by their nature are pretty limited exercises because their fixed note duration and impossibility of silence between intervals... and i can't help with the reverb, maybe part of expecting it to come from the room & the fact that i usually use Csound with my volume at 30% (yes, i do agree that simple and few oscillators are harsh to hear much above that)
