Hi Øyvind. Yes, I'm sure it would. I'm a big fan of partikkel, it's an extremely powerful opcode: I recently used it (abused might be more accurate) in my first attempt at a Csound piece (the middle section):

(If you ever do listen to it yes, the bizarre pumping and clicky effects are deliberate). 
However it can be daunting! The amount of parameters available is a testament to it's power and flexibility but can seem overwhelming at times. But such features! Even the ability to selectively control FM to such a fine degree. One could spend a great deal of time using it and still feel they've barely explored it.
