Thanks for the reply Art. I probably should have been more clear. I would expect the audio rendering to sound the same on any OS or played on any audio system; it demonstrates undesired and odd frequency shifts. I was referring to how the csd file referenced in the Canonical reference manual sounds and is also rendered when specifically played in Csound for Android.

Jeanette C. was kind enough to render it on what I believe is a Linux system (possibly Mac) and the csd sounded/rendered without the word freq glitches, it sounded good.

I'm assuming it's likely a problem related specifically to the Android version of Csound but can't confirm it yet. The Android editor does not highlight the wterrain2 opcode in a different colour (orange) as it does all other supported opcodes, it remains white. It does still play though, and reports no error messages but clearly does not sound right. If the opcode was not recognized/supported I would have expected an error mssg.

I was hoping someone else could try playing or rendering the csd:
https://csound.com/docs/manual/examples/wterrain2_1.csd
specifically using Csound for Android, to see if they experienced the same abnormalities.

I will try this but probably not tomorrow, more like the next day.

I too would like to be clear: I rendered exactly the same wterrain2 manual example both in Windows Csound and Csound for Android. Both had the frequency artefacts you reference (and otherwise sounded identical to me).
