Subjectinitializing midictrl
I also asked this on the main list, but to no avail. Thought maybe
people here are more into messing with potmeters in realtime, so
hopefully someone here can suggest something...

I'd like to be able to use the "cutoff" potmeter on my Evolution
keyboard for changing the cutoff frequency. So I have this:

kcutoffpot	midictrl	74, .2, 1.8

and then multiplying the cutoff frequency by kcutoffpot somewhere in the
instrument. Works fine except before I touch the potmeter kcutoffpot is
0, as if the potmeter was turned all the way to the left. But I'd rather
have the patch start out as if the potmeter was is center position. How
is this done? There must be a simple way...

It was suggested from the main list to try using

kcutoffpot init 1

but that doesn't change anything (tried both before and after, although
I guess it *should* be initialized before).
