FromMichael Gogins
Subject[Csnd-dev] ANNOUNCEMENT: New executable release of the cloud-5 Web based computer music environment
Announcing a new release of my Web-based computer music environment, cloud-5 (available at https://github.com/gogins/cloud-5/releases, post issues and suggestions at https://github.com/gogins/cloud-5/issues), and of my online computer music showcase of pieces made with cloud-5 (at https://gogins.github.io/). cloud-5 incorporates WebAssembly builds of the powerful software synthesizer Csound and my algorithmic composition library CsoundAC, as well as the JavaScript live coding system Strudel. The cloud-5 release can be downloaded and immediately used with a local Web server as a studio for creating and performing new pieces that involve visual music, algorithmic composition, live coding, and sophisticated sound synthesis. Or, it can be hosted on a Web server to make pieces available to anybody with a Web browser. Changes: it’s now possible to record and download soundfiles created by cloud-5 to the user’s computer, see “Cloud Music No. 14.” It’s also possible to run pieces in NW.js, which opens up additional possibilities.

Wow! First of all, congratulations on the release. The cloud pieces are quite amazing, you've done a great job with these and thanks so much for sharing. A much appreciated contribution & fantastic resource. I'm sure all be picking these apart, bit by bit, for quite some time.

I haven't toyed with them all yet but the shader work in https://gogins.github.io/cloud_music_no_9.html is really impressive. I think it will take me months (if ever) to wrap my head around that alone.

There's also a wealth of information in the instruments.

Good to see you've been able to find the time to focus on your music. You've clearly put alot of consideration into the overall implementation of these pieces. It's really inspirational.

Thanks again & best wishes,
Scott

Hi!

It was the first time I could lear a bit about the Strudel live coding system.
Very impressive! And beautifully + so functionally done.

Thank you!
Tarmo
